Getman in his 40-plus years as a lawyer – has concentrated his practice in areas of commercial law, representing suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors, owners and businesses. In bankruptcy matters, Jack has represented creditors, creditor committees and trustees and served as a special trustee in business reorganizations. A graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law, for many years he taught as an adjunct professor there. Mr. Getman is the editor-in-chief of the New York State Bar Association publication "Collection and Enforcement of Money Judgments" and the author of the portions of the New York State Bar Association desk book on debt collection and enforcement of money judgments. He also served as treasurer of the Erie County Bar Association. Mr. Getman recently retired as the firm’s senior partner and remains with the firm of counsel.
